Krewella - Human

krewellayasmine:

this video is not here to lift ourselves up, to show sacrifice, or to make the viewer feel any sort of pity. it is to remind you that sometimes we forget that the people behind the music are just PEOPLE. once you idolize (or on the flip side, dismiss) him or her, you’ve completely stripped away their humanity. never forget that. we are all the same blood, flesh, tears. we are all human. thank you guys so much for watching.

omg this is so exciting! I
 cant wait for more!

Because if this is gonna be a Christian nation that DOESN’T help the poor, either we’ve got to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we’ve got to acknowledge that he commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition—and then admit that we just don’t want to do it.

NASA Finds New Life

danpatterson:

/via @ghollingsworth:

New LifeAt their conference today, NASA scientist Felisa Wolfe Simon will announce that they have found a bacteria whose DNA is completely alien to what we know today. Instead of using phosphorus, the bacteria uses arsenic. All life on Earth is made of six components: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur. Every being, from the smallest amoeba to the largest whale, share the same life stream. Our DNA blocks are all the same.

Kick ASS!!! Oh and I think NASA should issue a nationwide “I told you so” to anyone that has ever doubted their work.

I wonder if this means that NASA has to start over for their search for ET life or not.  If they were looking for habitable planets that would only be habitable to beings like us, I think this would show that there is a possibility for life that might live on a planet that’s completely unlike our own.

First of all, could you please do me a solid and recommend me this week? I would surely appreciate it!
Second, I am going to post a couple of my Christmas Cards from the past on my tumblr. I get a lot of emails from people asking if they can use my cards for themselves. I thought it would be fun to strip off the personal messages and allow anyone to use them this year. So please feel free! This is probably my favorite, from 2008.

This looks awesome.  Really liking a lot of the artwork that I see.

This is a replica gun from Portal that was created by Harrison Krix for the Child’s Play charity that’s coming up soon.  So awesome to see something like this created and donated to benefit kids.  Makes me want Portal 2 even more now.

This is jaw dropping in it’s realism.  I can’t wait to see realism of this depth used in a film.  It’s practically to the point of S1m0ne where you can almost create a photo-realistic person from nothing but pixels.  Simple amazing.
